How to Unlock the Enchanted Tree in Steal An Egg

The Enchanted Tree is the sealed centerpiece of the Update 7 biome — and the only path to Butterfly Bloom, Enchanted Essence and the secret room. The unlock is quest-gated, not Speed-gated.

Unlock Steps

1. Reach the Enchanted Forest biome (~50B Speed gate, reported) — details in the biome guide.
2. Interact with the Wisp near the entrance to open the Grow Your Wisp tracker.
3. Complete all three quests — full walkthrough with the current conflicting counts flagged: Wisp Quests.
4. Return the grown Wisp to the sealed tree and interact.
5. Walk into the now-unsealed Enchanted Tree.

Requirements in one line: the biome needs Speed, but the tree itself only needs the finished questline — a lower-Speed friend who joins you inside still gets to use it.

What's Inside the Enchanted Tree

• Butterfly Net — a free pickup just inside; you need it for any butterfly catching.
• Butterfly Bloom — a recurring event where butterflies appear to be caught with the net. Reports differ on the schedule — see the Butterfly Bloom guide.
• Butterfly Altar — trades butterflies upward (10 Emerald → 1 Sapphire, 10 Sapphire → 1 Amethyst, 50 Amethyst → 1 Radiant, per current player reports) and converts them into Enchanted Essence.
• The secret room — hidden behind/around the tree, reached through a portal, home of the Mushroom Puzzle with its two rewards: the Jitterbug egg and the Cricket's Banjo.

Enchanted Essence and the Enchanted Mutation

Player reports describe the Essence recipe as roughly 240 Emerald + 115 Sapphire + 40 Amethyst + 1 Radiant butterflies, applied at the altar. The resulting Enchanted mutation is reported to apply reliably once used — but its exact income multiplier is not confirmed anywhere yet, so don't plan an economy around a specific number.
